The Oyster Perpetual Submariner is the reference dive watch; The clock that has conquered the depths. Launched in 1953, the Submariner was the first wristwatch to ensure a tightness to a depth of 100 meters (330 feet). This was the second great achievement in terms of technical mastery of airtightness, after the invention in 1926 of the Oyster, the world’s first hermetic wristwatch. The Submariner was a milestone in the history of watchmaking and became the diving watch par excellence.
